Great to scrape dough out of the bowl and onto the worksurface; helps stop dough sticking to your hands; used to cut and divide your dough and, when everything is getting a bit messy, scrape your worktop clear.
These are definitely our favourite piece of equipment. We use them to stop dough or pastry sticking to the worktop, by scraping any stray dough up, to scrape bowls clean before washing and, when clearing down a floury worktop we use them to scrape the loose flour off, then spray the surface with water, leave for a while and run one accross the worktop to get everything clear for cleaning.
This would definitely be my 'dessert island' choice!
